We use only genuine, authentic Hard Rubber, ensuring the HR* Series captures the look, feel, and sound of the vintage hard rubber sax mouthpieces that have long been the most sought-after. These mouthpieces are crafted on our state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machine and then meticulously hand-finished and play-tested.
The HR* offers a full, lush vintage sound with minimal resistance, providing a warm, beautiful tone. It delivers very good projection for a dark-sounding mouthpiece, with a husky, barrel-chested quality and a great core complemented by rich complexity.
This versatile hard rubber mouthpiece with a traditional shape and sound is suitable for all types of music, playing effortlessly with ample power. It produces a huge, full tone with rich midrange and bottom tones, delivering a fat, husky sound.
The patented DV technology with a deep chamber provides fullness and a dark tone while remaining easy to play, with more power and less resistance than a metal mouthpiece but a similar warm tone. The Chedeville Hard Rubber, large round chamber, and curved undercut sidewalls create a complex sound, further enhanced by the heavy gold-plated brass ring on the shank.
Expertly hand-finished on the baffle, tip rail, and table, this mouthpiece has a slightly smaller chamber than Meyer and Link, offering more projection while maintaining a classic jazz sound.
